Over 1000 hours of beading went into Dr Seuss's house. Each roof tile is beaded using what is commonly referred to as the peyote stitch, once beaded they still had to be sewn onto the base fabric. The two walls inside are book covers, One Fish Two Fish and The Cat in the Hat. On the left hand side, Thing 1 and Thing 2 are running around the house, probably trying to catch up with their kites that are on the right hand side of the house. The back of the house has a window on it that mirrors the window on the front. When the working doors are closed, you will see that the door handles make a stylized S, just so you know who built this house.
The House That Seuss Built won 2nd place in Beadwork VI - The Beaded Book.
