LeDuc Crowne Affair

This headdress was made for the Modern Interpretations of Historic Designs
exhibition that was held at the LeDuc Mansion in Hastings, MN. Sisters, Alice and Florence LeDuc,
created the Hasting Needle Work Company. Over 1200 patterns have survived which are in the collections
of the Dakota County and Minnesota Historical Societies.
I used two of the patterns to make this headdress, number 19 and number 22.
This piece took over 200 hours to complete using size 15 seed beads and Swarovski crystals.
The LeDuc Crowne Affair won 1st place, Viewer's Choice.
